Welcome to Canadian River Expeditions' selection of the finest outdoor and natural history adventures in northern and western Canada! Since 1972 we have purposely avoided expanding beyond what we know best to concentrate on our home Canadian waters and mountains. Although our river trips range from mild to wild, wilderness rather than whitewater tends to be the focus.

Our unique itineraries have been developed to introduce our guests to some of the world's most spectacular wilderness places. As the first to raft Canada's wilderness rivers, we take tremendous pride in our attention to detail to ensure that you have the finest possible experience. CRE's superb guides and expert naturalists, our commitment to your safety and comfort, and our concern for the wilderness environment has been unmatched by any other groups that have followed. While some of our destinations are now protected in parks and even United Nations World Heritage Sites, others, sadly, have less certain futures. We hope that by introducing people to these beautiful places it will help to have their wildness preserved for future generations.

Many travellers return a number of times to explore more of Canada with C.R.E. It's largely with these friends in mind that we have selected our stable of expeditions - to ensure that each trip will be a new and treasured experience in a distinct landscape. Our trips range from one-week-off-work getaways to twelve day expeditions. Depending on which adventure and environment you select, you may encounter cactus or caribou, ancient forests or Arctic tundra, salmon runs or calving glaciers.
